God Does Not Change
God isn’t like a shifting shadow. The light He carries is unapproachable (1 Timothy 6:16). It’s so bright that there’s no shadow of turning. He does not change.
Don’t Get Angry at Those Who Rebuke You
Don’t get angry at the people who rebuke you for your wrongs, especially the believers. Even if you do, reconcile with them as soon as possible. These are the people who really love you despite your faults and shortcomings. Cherish them because such people are hard to find.
Don’t Be Deceived by a Bribe
In Proverbs 17:8, the Bible warns that we should not be deceived by a bribe. Why? Because it’s not always successful. You cannot always guarantee an easy pass for doing the wrong thing by bribing law enforcement personnel. One day might be a bad day for you.
The Crown of Aged People
“Children’s children are a crown to the aged, and parents are the pride of their children.” — Proverbs 17:6 NIV
Work Purposefully to See Progression in Your Calling
God is very progressive. There’s more He wants to accomplish daily on this earth. But according to Psalm 116:15, God has given the Earth to the children of men. So He needs people to advance His kingdom on Earth. It’s your duty to remain faithful to your calling in the Lord.
Only God Can Satisfy Some of Your Needs
There are some needs only God can satisfy. It’s your duty to discern them, so that you’ll not demand people to meet such needs, lest you get disappointed.
Repay Evil with Good
Make it a hearty intention that no matter how bad people treat you, disappoint you or exploit you for their selfish gains, repay their evil with good.
Are You for or Against Jesus?
There’s a thin line between being “for” Jesus and being “against” Jesus. It’s not distinguished merely by the results of your work, but your intentions of doing it. Serve in Christ to gather people unto Jesus, not to scatter them.
Lean Not on Your Own Understanding
Don’t let your heart deceive you. Don’t submit to your changing emotions to make decisions today. You might regret it tomorrow. Rely on divine wisdom to navigate your life. It’s for your good.
In All Your Ways Submit to Him
God knew you before bringing you into the world. So when He provides you leadership and says, “submit to Me,” it’s not because He wants to cage your life. No! It’s because He knows what is best for you, far beyond your knowledge.
An Undeserved Curse Will Not Come to Rest
The Bible says that an underserved curse does not come to rest. Such a curse is compared to a fluttering sparrow (a sparrow always moving back and forth without rest); it’ll never work because it has no root.
You Cannot Give What You Don’t Have
If you boast of having something you lack, you’ll destroy relationships. Don’t use your body as an instrument for the devil to spread lies. On the other way round, avoid falling for people who boast about having things you find hard to believe.
