What Kind of Man Is This?
Jesus can do more than what you think. But as the disciples did, don’t make the mistake of thinking that He is your last resort when problems arise. No! He should be your first go-to, especially when things turn out wrong.

God’s Word is a hammer and fire (see Jeremiah 23:29). It breaks every rock (things like hard-core bad habits and persistent negative occurrences) into pieces. But the potency of the Word is not seen when it is treated lightly and not preached with divine authority.
Jesus is the resurrection and the life (see John 11:25). He can bring back to life anything people regard as dead and worthless. Is it your life that has become so bad because you messed up with it in worldliness? He can give you beauty for ashes. But when you come to Him, and He tells you what to do, don’t challenge Him or complain like Martha did when Jesus ordered for people to take away the stone that covered the tomb where Lazarus was laid (see John 11:39). Believe in Him, and watch Him do miracles in your life.
Storms and issues in life will come to attack the Word of God you have heard. But if you have used it to build your life, you will survive.
In Matthew 7:7, Jesus said, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” This scripture significantly talks about levels of persistent prayer. That is, beyond asking, seek. And beyond seeking, knock. So, as a believer, you don’t have an excuse not to keep praying if you really want what you are requesting for.
In Matthew 7:3-5, Jesus said it is hypocrisy to point out another man’s faults and neglect your own. In other words, don’t think you are so perfect that there’s nothing wrong with you to correct. I tell you that the best version of you is yet to be seen. There is more to do and more to learn.
Why worry about what you’ll wear if God has promised to supply all your needs? Wear what you have and trust God to provide what you’ll need in the near future.
When you disfigure your face, people will know you are hungry, and it won’t help you to fast in privacy. But when you put up a nice face and concentrate on God to grant you your request as you fast, your mind will go less on food and more on God, which will also reduce the suspicions of others.
As you grow, you’ll get busier, and if you don’t take care, you’ll be tempted to drop down your prayer and time with God so low on your priority list. Step up and be serious because God is still interested in You knowing Him more, regardless of your age.
No matter how much you think you don’t have, psych your mind to be generous to others by faith. The day you start thinking about others benefiting from you, you’ll see resources come towards your direction.
Have you ever felt trapped in a cycle of illness, convinced that it is a normal occurrence? Today, let this be a reminder that sickness is not your portion as a child of God. Your inheritance is health, wholeness, and abundance. However, where there is a delay, continue to trust His heart, even when you cannot trace His hand.
Jesus said in Matthew 5:14 that you, as a child of God, are the light of the world. That means that to deal with the darkness in the world, you, the light, ought to shine. Shining requires you to be intentional about witnessing Christ Jesus everywhere you go.
