[4] “For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, [5] so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another.” – Romans 12:4-5 (NKJV)
Have you ever thought of how many cells and organs are inside your body? According to science, there are millions of cells and organs, probably thousands. But it’s not all that you see. Right? For example, you don’t see your liver, but that organ is very crucial if your body is to be kept alive.
In the same way, the Body of Christ functions like the human body. It has several parts, each representing a believer in Christ. Each part has a unique functionality in the body that defines its responsibility. So, you, a child of God, reading this devotional today, have a definite role to play in the body of Christ. Maybe, from the start of your faith journey, you might not know. But as you mature in the Lord, you need to discover it. That will help shape your life, enabling you to make meaningful contributions to the global Church.
Do you feel lost in life as a Christian? Draw closer to God today for Him to renew your life, help put things back in order and direct you in the ways of His plan for you. As long as you are alive, there is hope for you. So, don’t lose hope because God can give you beauty for ashes.
You are a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, help me to make meaningful contributions to the body of Christ, even as I live each day to fulfil Your will. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
