God is saying that to enjoy the good things of the same land where multitudes struggle to find food and make ends meet, stop focusing on your toils; but with a yielding heart, simply obey Me.
God wants to teach you great and unsearchable things that’ll affect your life and also generations unborn if you’re determined to cling unto Him.
You ease the pressure and burden on your shepherd’s (pastor’s) mind when you obey his teachings of Jesus Christ and become submissive to the spiritual instructions that he gives you.
“Let the dead bury their own dead” means leave everything behind to follow Jesus. If you refuse, they’ll soon turn to a trash in your walk with God.
God counted you faithful before putting you into the ministry. He knew you’d mess up sometimes, make mistakes, mishandle opportunities and even commit evil acts sometimes unconsciously. But He’s focused on your roots – what’s within you, not the filth you’re letting out.
What you see cannot satisfy you – whether humans, products or other material possessions. None of them can fulfil the deep yearning in your soul. God placed that hunger there, so you’ll always desire to connect to Him and view things according to his lenses.
Being conscious of obeying Him doesn’t entirely depend on His empowerment but also your choice. You must intentionally pay attention to living by the dictates of God in all your life endeavours.
Seeds don’t grow because you put them in the soil but because you’re consistently providing the necessities required for their germination. Form lasting habits that’ll keep reminding you and building upon the vision God has given you.
Your plans will succeed with many advisers if those people have enough knowledge about what you want to do in order to give you proper counsel. So be selective in who you speak to concerning the matters of your life.
Don’t bend God’s principles to suit your way of life. You’ll be your own devil if you do that.
If you want to get rid of a tree, uproot it and forget about the leaves and branches. They’ll wither with time. Don’t focus on purifying your character. No! Go for the Word of God, and your life will become gradually transformed by the power of God.
In Proverbs 4:25, the Bible says, “let your eyes look straight ahead, and your eyelids right before you.” Why? Because it’s crucial to focus. However, focus without vision is vain because there’ll be no specific traceable path to plan and follow. Follow Jesus. He’s the only One who can give you a purpose-driven life.
