As you grow in what you do, there are times when you need to evaluate what is going on so you can correct your mistakes and make things better. Who knows, your key to enjoying the year would start like this?
What comes to mind when you think about preparing for a new year? To many, it feels like it’s time to reset. But a new year is more than the start of a new calendar and a series of things in your life. It’s about God opening a new chapter in your life, and you must be prepared for it.
Dear one, don’t dilute God’s vision for your life because of laziness. Don’t keep listing many excuses in your mind to explain why you cannot do this or that. No! It’ll just make you abandon that work, and you will say that things don’t work. God doesn’t want you to be a failure, so don’t make yourself one.
Your heart is where Jesus or the devil resides. It is a spiritual home. For this reason, if you do not allow Jesus into your heart, the devil will allow himself into your heart. Your heart cannot be empty, and your heart cannot bear two masters. That is the reason you must pay attention to the well-being of your innermost being.
Dare to proclaim the gospel of Christ without fear. Do not fear what other people say about you because of your doctrine. If what you are preaching is the truth, carry on, minister. God sees your labour. Don’t give up!
It is not always easy. But with God on your side, it is well with you. Witness Jesus well wherever you are, no matter the situation. If he was with Paul and had helped his work remain relevant in this generation, then indeed, He has not neglected your secret labours. He will reward you well.
Just because you are born again doesn’t mean your life is going to be all flashy. Sometimes, bad things might happen that can pose severe threats to your faith, but that doesn’t mean God has left you. Learn how to comport yourself in honour of God, no matter what happens
As soon as you are saved, God sets you on a race of faith in Christ. That is why Hebrews 12:2 says Jesus is the author and finisher of your faith. So, because of that, you must be determined to finish your course strong in the Lord. Maybe let me break it down.
God is always with you. He will never leave nor forsake you. Get that right! So, whether in public or in your closet, He is right there with you. Do what is good, whether a man is checking up on you or not, because, at the end of the day, you will give an account of your life to God, not man.
In his book “The Burden of Freedom,” Myles Munroe once said, “Irresponsibility is freedom’s greatest enemy.” When you are not responsible for using what God has given you well, you’ll misuse it. Be responsible, and serve the Lord with your body.
Be watchful over your life. Focus on pleasing God, not men. Whatever you do, people will talk. So, if you really want to walk in obedience to God, accept the truth that your actions will not please everyone. Even Jesus’ actions didn’t please everyone.
