Who Shall Separate Us from the Love of Christ?

[35] “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” – Romans 8:35 (KJV)

God’s love is so strong that it has the power to constrain every believer to live right with Him. It is not entirely dependent on us because God is the One who first loved us (see 1 John 4:19). And because of that reality, whether we love Him back or not doesn’t diminish His love for us in any way. That is why Paul asked who shall separate us from the love of Christ.

Is it a series of problems in your life? Or anxiety, persecution, hunger, lack of clothing, or even life-threatening situations? None of them shall separate us from the love of Christ. Explaining this from another point of view, people’s love for us, including married couples, can wax cold when situations arise in the relationship. But God isn’t like that. He loves you wholly regardless of whatever you do, even if you grieve the Holy Spirit several times.

Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. God is everlasting, and because of that, He doesn’t allow any temporary thing to distract His love for us. Be rest assured in His promises for your life because He will never fail, leave or forsake you. Thank Him for grace.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for wrapping me in Your love. I believe that no matter how bad things get, You have got me covered. Thank You for Your grace. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
