[5] “Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.” — Colossians 4:5 (KJV)
I got saved not only because someone evangelised Christ Jesus to me but also because God helped others to bear my wretched ways of living prior to the new creature I am in Christ today. Today, I get to practise living the ways of God even amongst unbelievers I encounter each day, a total transformation! But I asked myself why don’t believers always preach Christ to unbelievers when they interact with them. Here’s the answer.
There are many ways of preaching apart from the one done from the pulpit in a church gathering. One of them is to walk in wisdom toward those who are without (those not in the faith of Christ). So what these unbelievers will do as a natural flow of wickedness, you, a believer, will do the right thing. What happens when this is done is that it strikes a chord towards these unbelievers and tells them to change from their godless ways of living. That is what it means to witness Christ in this generation.
Dear Christian, your impact on the world won’t always be about preaching to people in church. It’ll mostly be evident in how you interact with the people you meet. Fill your mind with the Word of God, and you’ll be wise to interact with people well while leaving a godly impact on them.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for the wisdom of Your Word. Help me to relate to people wisely in this bedevilled generation. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
