“See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” - Ephesians 5:15-16 NKJV
To redeem something is to repurchase it or buy it back after losing it. Before anyone of us came to Christ, there were some years (or times past) when we didn’t know God. Therefore, we lived wasted lives because eternal life was absent in our spirits.
When you come to Christ, one significant thing to learn is to find ways to redeem the time spent outside Christ. Now, from the understanding obtained from the verse above, we can do this by walking circumspectly every day. In other words, think about the situations at hand and look at ways to handle your life wisely, as God strengthens you to go through them all in His wisdom.
1 John 5:19 (KJV) says, “[And] we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.” Friend, the days ahead of us are evil. You cannot afford to put your life to chance. Number your days with specific kingdom-oriented tasks through strategic planning with the help of the Word and the Holy Spirit in you. Above all, love God, submit to Him, and mind His business. He’ll reward you. Live on purpose.
You’re a blessing.
