The Meek Will Inherit the Land

[10] “A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found. [11] But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity.” – Psalms 37:10-11 (NIV)

Everybody lives until a time comes for people to individually die. People die, and their names get forgotten in a few days or months. But some people have died decades ago. Meanwhile, their names have refused to die. Why? They were meek to walk at the feet of Jesus, who gave them enough wisdom and empowered them to work in ways that’ll outlive their existence.

If you’re meek, there is an assurance in the Word that you shall inherit the land. It doesn’t mean you will become a real estate entrepreneur. Instead, it means your name will refuse to die because God will cause your works to outlive your existence.

Have you been having a hard time convincing others that following Jesus is worth it more than anything? Don’t worry about them. Just keep following Jesus, stay humble at His feet, and keep building a deeper intimacy with Him. In the place of worship, He will always reveal mysteries about your life that will set you in pace to impact generations if you obey Him. May God be your strength.

You’re a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your great love and care. I know that You will never leave nor forsake me. Help me to remain humble at Your feet. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
