[6] “For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to destruction.” – Psalms 1:6 (NIV)
One of the revelations you must always be conscious of as a believer in Christ is that you are the righteousness of God (see 2 Corinthians 5:21). Because of that truth, your righteousness is of God and part of your spiritual identity. With it comes some privileges, and I want to share one with you today.
In Psalms 1:6, the Bible says the Lord watches over the way of the righteous. So, as God’s righteous one, God’s eyes are always on your journey. The reason why He doesn’t allow you to do certain things, go to some places or even “close” some doors (so to speak) isn’t because He doesn’t love you. He actually does. But He is also a protective God. He wants your race of faith to be well managed and nurtured by His ways, not by our ways. So, just because some of your plans don’t come to pass or are delayed, it doesn’t mean He’s not with you. No! He is with you, only to watch you take the right steps.
Be on guard against anything the devil tries to use people to do that is contrary to God’s plan for your life. Continually fellowship with God so He can keep showing you the next step to take. And when you do, it will be easier to discern His way in order to follow it.
You are a blessing.
Prayer:
Thank You God for guiding me. Watch over my ways so I don’t miss Your providential way. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
