[18] “Then He said, “What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it? [19] It is like a mustard seed, which a man took and put in his garden; and it grew and became a large tree, and the birds of the air nested in its branches.” – Luke 13:18-19 (NKJV)
I once watched a video sermon by Dr Myles Munroe of blessed memory, and he said something that I kept in mind to date. He said that in every seed is a tree, and in that tree are seeds, and when those seeds grow, they will become a forest. That means that one seed has the potential to become an entire forest. But it takes a lot of time to realise that full potential. Check yourself. Do you know how loaded you are in the Lord? Look at what Jesus said in Luke 13:18-19.
He described the kingdom of God like a mustard seed that a man took and put in his garden. Then what? It grew to become a large tree, and the birds of the air nested in its branches. That description of God’s kingdom is about you, dear one.
Jesus is saying that the Word of God, sown in you, can grow in effect on your life to the extent that others will depend on your labours to benefit from what God has given you. This is the mystery behind divine impact through harnessing your spiritual gift. You can harness your spiritual gift to the point that God will help you to command global attention.
Are you discouraged because life isn’t working out as you want, even as a Christian? It’s time to discover what God has given you and use it very well.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for everything You do for me. Help me discover any divine gift in me I don’t know yet so I can harness it to be a blessing to many. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
