[38] “For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, [39] nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” — Romans 8:38 - 39 NKJV
Before Paul concluded that nothing could separate him from God’s love, he passed through several kinds of trials because of the gospel’s spread. The book of Acts alone captured some of his ordeals. And they were hard. But in today’s context, it might seem a little different.
Some people think high-profile preachers don’t face life issues. They do; just that they don’t share a lot on social media. Paul was also a much-respected minister. Yet there were days he had a little provision (Philippians 4:12).
You may not be a minister, or you may know a pastor who preaches to nations. Support him. But no matter who you are or where you function in the Church, never forget that nothing can separate you from the love of God.
Circumstances will come. You’ll see the highs and lows of life several times. But God has vowed to be for you no matter what. He’s not like a man who says one thing and does the opposite the next day. He is God. He’ll perform the Word of His counsel. Trust in His holy Word even if you can’t trace Him in your life, for He will never fail you.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer
Oh God, I pray that no matter life’s challenges, I’ll hold on to Your love. I refuse to let my faith waver. I choose to remain potent in grace to press on to diligently work in the field of life you’ve called me function. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
