By[8] “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” – Hebrews 13:8 (NIV)
When I was a little boy, I heard some preachers of the gospel quote Hebrews 13:8: “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever.” But as I grew in the Lord and went back to study the scripture, I realised that the word is “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever”, just as you can see from the anchor scripture above. Why is the Word “and” used several times? It’s because Jesus has no beginning and ending. There are no breakages in His existence. He lives forever more. Grasping this will change your perspective about Christ so much.
Our Saviour, Jesus Christ, has never and will never change. Yes, He was made the Word incarnate for the sake of sacrificing to pay the debt of humanity’s sin so that you and I can come to the Father. But His identity as the begotten Son of God has never changed. So, if Jesus is constant, what makes you think He won’t bring to fulfilment what He has said concerning your life? Dear one, don’t let the devil deceive you.
Jesus will never be unfaithful to you. He is not like man who says one thing and changes his mind the next minute. No! He is constant. He isn’t subject to change like how currency conversions change. He is the Lord of your life. Stick to following His ways because He will never leave nor forsake you.
