[22] “All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.” – Luke 10:22 (NIV)
Jesus, the Word, is so exceptional, if not to you, at least to me. All His teachings were error-free and accurate. And guess what? We are going to be talking about one in today’s devotional. That is, He chose you to reveal the Father to you.
Jesus said in Luke 10:22 that everything the Father has has been committed to Him. Secondly, no one knows who the Son (Jesus Himself) is (in totality and all areas of His dimension) except the Father. Likewise, nobody knows the Father except the Son and who the Son chooses to reveal Him. Now, do you get it when Jesus said that no one goes to the Father except by Him (see John 14:6)?
Jesus chose you to reveal the Father to you. And this choice was made before the world began (see Ephesians 1:4). However, it starts manifesting when one gets born again. That is why anybody who gets closer and closer to Jesus ends up knowing the Father intimately. You cannot separate Jesus from the Father. So once you know Jesus, you’ll automatically know the Father too.
From today, don’t think that knowing God is different from knowing Jesus. They are interrelated. You just have to draw near to Jesus and you’ll know the Father. Keep following Him.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your grace and lovingkindness. Help me to know You more as I draw closer to Him. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
