[12] “He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” – 1 John 5:12 (NKJV)
What does it mean to have life? Have you ever sat down to talk about this question? To many, having life means having blood flowing through their system and their hearts beating. And to others, having life is about enjoying luxuries or going about with one’s daily struggles. Many people have their own definitions, but the Master’s definition of the possession of life surpasses all opinions.
God’s Word says in 1 John 5:12, “He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.” That means to have life means to have Jesus, not money, material possessions, owning companies or anything else you can think of. The Christian has life, but that life is the life of Jesus operational in him. On the other hand, the unbeliever does not have life because he doesn’t have Jesus. So, here is truth. The God-kind of life surpasses anything you can see in this world. Don’t be deceived.
If you live from the inside out, that is, from inspiration and direction from the God in you, you will walk in daily victory and constant progression. Even what is meant for your harm will turn out for your good. Are you fretting because things are not working out for you now? Help is on the way. Speak to the Father, who is in you. He has never left nor forsaken you. He will load you with benefits.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for the gift of life in me. May I never lose the consciousness that it is in You I live, move and have my being. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
