[3] “as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue,” – 2 Peter 1:3 (NKJV)
Many people work to get money to afford their needs, which is not bad. But what if I told you that, as a Christian, God’s divine power has given to you everything for life (eternal) and godliness? Will you continue to toil hard for the things you work to buy, or rest in God’s arms as you trust Him for provision?
Understanding scripture and living in revelation to it is vital to enjoying God’s promises over your life. Whatever you need to triumph in the eternal life of Christ in you and walk in daily victory is already made available. But you may ask, why am I suffering like that as God’s child? Here’s the explanation.
God is a Spirit (see John 4:24), meaning He doesn’t give material possessions when He blesses. No! He gives you that dimension of the Holy Spirit’s power that makes resources gravitate towards your direction when you step out. So, if you lack something in life, your problem may not be money but a lack of divine revelation. The Bible is not a mere book; its Words are spirit and life. You must receive divine illumination to understand and personalise its confessions in your life. Be bold, child of God. And claim whatever possession God has given you by His enabling and creative Spirit.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, help me to understand Your Word clearer each day as I study it. I refuse to change my confession about who You say I am. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
