God Will Always Provide for the Righteous

[25] “I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread.” – Psalms 37:25 (NKJV)

Have you ever wondered how God will provide, especially the day you were broke? How did it feel? Mentally straining. Right? But do you know many people battle this anxious thought almost daily? Statistically, many people are poor, meaning several people can’t afford three square meals a day. So, with this in view, the anxiety rate in many lives is constantly increasing. But what about the believers in Christ?

In Psalm 37:25, David, as an old man at the time of that writing, said he has never seen the righteous forsaken nor his descendants begging for bread (food to eat). So, by thoughtful observation of God’s faithfulness all his life, he never saw God abandon His righteous people. And that is still true today. Can I tell you something? God will always provide for the righteous. And that provision is going to be large enough that the descendants will benefit from it. No wonder the Bible says in Proverbs 13:22a that,

[22] “ A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, … ”

Do not fret about your life, how God is going to provide or how He will support the work of your hands. He is a faithful God. He will do it in ways you’ll be awed. Only trust in Him.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your immeasurable goodness toward my life. Help me always to trust that You will provide for me. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
