By[13] “No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.” – 1 Corinthians 10:13 (NKJV)
There are many believers, including those who speak in tongues, who struggle with different kinds of addictions in life. In most instances, sinful desires come as temptation, usually in the form of demonic suggestion in the mind. But did you know that God supplies a way out of every temptation you’ll ever face?
It’s written in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that for every believer, God will not allow any of us to be tempted beyond what each person can bear. So, the kind of temptation that God will allow in your life when you’re twenty years old is different from that of thirty. The stages are different. But the main thing to note is that for every temptation God allows, it isn’t beyond you.
Do you feel tempted to watch porn, dear Christian? I tell you that such temptation isn’t beyond your control. You can always triumph against the enemy, who is the one behind such thoughts. But you must understand your spiritual authority in Christ so you can use it to cast down every imagination that stands up against the cause of Christ in your life.
The enemy is afraid of you. But to triumph in every temptation, you must walk in the consciousness of who God has made you. Dear friend, your life is so precious to God. Don’t allow sin to destroy it.
