[17] “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, [18] while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” – 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 (NKJV)
When we talk about heaven, every Christian loves to hear it. Do you know why? Because there is no trouble there. And that is true. But as long as Jesus hasn’t come the second time and we are on this Earth, there will be afflictions. That’s what He promised us in the Word (see John 16:33). However, even in the midst of the affliction, He says we should be of good cheer, knowing that these troubles are but for a moment and the eternal joy that awaits us is far greater.
It is possible to live joyfully amidst the chaos in your life. Why? Because God can make you fix your eyes on the unseen promises He has for you, including your reward in heaven. As a minister of the gospel, I have found this true, especially in the ministry. Sometimes, people complain about things not working out, but they get solved and re-aligned to the vision with patience.
Dear friend, no matter the issues you are going through today, I urge you never to give up. If God gave you a vision for what you are doing now, and you are encountering issues as you do, have it in your consciousness that those issues are temporary. They may be financial constraints or even a lack of adequate human resources. But I tell you, God is faithful. Keep pressing on towards fulfilling destiny. May God be with you.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your support in my life. Help me to always fix my eyes on the unseen promises You have for me as I walk in Your ways. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
