[19] “For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.” – Romans 8:19 (KJV)
When parents give birth to children, one of their most prominent desires is to see the children grow. Why? As they grow, they will become more independent, make significant decisions on their own, and even reduce their parenting workload on them. That is why, after taking them to school for several years, they desire them to secure well-paying jobs, which is not bad. But how do all these things I am saying relate to the things written in today’s devotional scripture?
In Romans 8:19, the Bible says creation awaits the manifestation of the sons of God. In other words, the world awaits the full unveiling of the children of God in diverse areas of life. Why? Because creation has been subjected to bondage because of sin (see Romans 8:20), and it shall be liberated from that bondage when the children of God awaken to take charge of affairs within it.
Can I tell you something, dear Christian? God doesn’t want you to live a shallow life. No! He wants you to attain a high feat in life for His glory so you can help liberate others enslaved by worldly patterns to become who God created them to be. Don’t settle for less in anything you do, whether ministry, career, marriage or other things. Seek to glorify God in your daily life activities.
You are a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, help me to live out the best You have made me to be, no matter where I am. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
