“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do so.” - Proverbs 3:27 NKJV
To do good unto someone for once isn’t a problem for people. However, consistently doing good unto people every day is a real challenge to many because it’s both costly and demanding. Today, it’s common to see people starting something good but later failing to sustain it for long. One time, I asked God why these things happen. It was then He used the opening Bible text to minister unto me.
Many people aren’t aware that it takes power to consistently minister good works unto people, especially those who need them. The scripture above tells us not to withhold anything good from those who need it only when it’s in our power to act. Now this means, it isn’t about your ability but your power to minister good works unto people. Abilities don’t get lost that easily. Rather, it’s the power to use those abilities that suffer constant variation.
To continue doing good works, don’t look for those with needs (because they’ll always be around). Rather, spend time in the presence of the Holy Spirit to be empowered. I can tell you that when you do this, everything God has commissioned you to do won’t only be easy but also impactful unto many. Don’t trade your ability for the anointing. Pray!
You’re a blessing.
