A Tragic Turnaround

[5] “There is an evil I have seen under the sun,
the sort of error that arises from a ruler:
[6] Fools are put in many high positions,
while the rich occupy the low ones.
[7] I have seen slaves on horseback,
while princes go on foot like slaves.” – Ecclesiastes 10:5-7 (NIV)

One of the most tragic things happening around the world now is how ungodly people are rising to top positions while several Christians are crumbling at the base of life. Today, many unbelievers are ruling over countries rather than believers, and the devil keeps utilising such minds to formulate evil policies that end up putting a whole nation suffering. What happened to the world God made way back in Genesis?

I would say that a reason why this tragic turnaround is happening is a result of the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. They opened the portal for sin to enter the world (see Romans 5:12), and here is the result we’re still bearing. Only Jesus can save us in this situation.

As a believer, you must be wise not to number yourself among those who settle for less in life. I’m not talking about merely getting more possessions. No! I’m speaking of paying the high price to reach your highest calling in Christ, which many don’t want to do because it comes with so much difficulty and discomfort. Don’t let living like a commoner become your hallmark. Rise to serve God purposefully in everything you do. The Lord be with you and help you.

You’re a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your wisdom. Place demands on my capacity to help me reach my highest calling in You. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
