Consider Carefully What You Hear

[24] “Consider carefully what you hear,” he continued. “With the measure you use, it will be measured to you—and even more.” – Mark 4:24 (NIV)

Back in the days of Jesus’ earthly ministry, there were not so many avenues to disseminate information. Today, it’s not like that. There are several media outlets—television, radio, social media, mobile apps, and more. While this is good for making the internet more reliable, it has created a scene where people like to do things others would love to hear and see so that they can be popular instead of impacting them for the gospel.

But Jesus said, “Consider carefully what you hear… With the measure you use, it will be measured to you—and even more.” That means that you must be careful what you let the windows of your life – your sight and ears, get exposed to because it directly affects your life.

Studying and walking by the principles of God’s Word is never a boring life. It is a fulfilling life where the believer gets the opportunity to experience everyday victory in Christ. But unfortunately, the world has painted a wrong picture of what is called “happiness,” making believers in Christ look like their lives are dull. Dear one, do not conform to the desires of the world. Be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and let God’s Word guide you daily.

You’re a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for Your Word in my life. Help me live by Your principles so I can establish and build upon Your strong foundation in all my ways. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
