[6] “And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” [7] Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” – Galatians 4:6-7 (NKJV)
There are two main categories of people living in this world today: slaves to the devil and the sons (I mean, children) of God. If you’re not born again, you’re a puppet before the devil’s hands. Anything can happen to you because you don’t have God’s backing. But if you’re saved, God is in you and with you (see 1 John 4:8, Matthew 28:20). Today, there’s one more truth you’ve got to lay hold of in your consciousness. That is, as a believer, you’re an heir of God through Christ. But what does that mean?
An heir, according to the scriptures in Galatians 4:7, refers to a person who has acquired or obtained the portion allotted to him. So, in essence, if you’re an heir of God through Christ, then it means you have access to everything the Father has through Jesus. Is there any more proof of this truth? Yes. Let us read Ephesians 1:22.
[22] “And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church,”
Ephesians 1:22 (NKJV)
God the Father gave Jesus to be head over all things. And He, Jesus, also oversees all the things for the benefit of the Church, which is His body. Do you now see why you don’t need to be afraid to ask God for big things? You already have access to what you want. But if you don’t know, you’ll live below that reality.
Stop denying yourself of your privilege to enjoy your inheritance in the Lord. Instead of worrying about why things aren’t working in your life, go for divine knowledge and live out the full you God has made you in His eyes. May the Lord give you strength.
