Balance Vision With Patience

[3] “Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world. [4] But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law,” — Galatians 4:3 - 4 NKJV

When Adam and Eve fell short of the grace of God in Genesis 3, God said to the serpent,

“And I will put enmity Between you and the woman, And between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, And you shall bruise His heel.”

Genesis 3:15 NKJV (Boldface mine)

Naturally, women don’t carry seeds. It’s instead the men who bear it, and that’s why it’s men that determine whether a child becomes a male or a female based on the chromosome of the sperm that fuses with the female’s egg.

So the seed of the woman God spoke of in Genesis was actually Christ, not Cain, Abel or Seth. And that is why Mary didn’t need to have sex with any man before she got pregnant with Jesus Christ by the Holy Spirit.

However, we know that between the time God made this prophecy and the time it manifested was so wide. Although I can’t quantify the years, it could be over four thousand. That’s a lot!

Between the time God speaks about the fulfilment of something and the time it gets fully manifested, there’s always a gap. And that is where patience and trust get highly tested.

That implies between the time God speaks about the fulfilment of something and the time it gets fully manifested, there’s always a gap. And that is where patience and trust get highly tested.

God is love, and love is patient (see 1 Corinthians 13:4). So He doesn’t have a problem balancing His vision with patience. But what about us men? How many of us know how to balance vision with patience?

Many people want things they desire as soon as they think about it. But God didn’t make this world to be that way. He’s an all-sovereign God. Yet, His desire to see all men saved and come to the knowledge of the Truth is still in progress (see 1 Timothy 2:3-4).

In the fullness of time, God sent forth Jesus Christ to come and die in order to take away the sin of the world (see John 1:29). He’s still patient.

It’s not everything God will reveal to you that is mature enough for you to take it on immediately. No! Wait for the Lord. Let Him keep showing you the revelation so you can discern clearer and better each day. That will give you divine direction as you channel your now-life towards fulfilling that vision in His due time. Lastly, I want to encourage you. Don’t give up!

You’re a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, help me to balance vision and patience. Do not make me rush to do things that You give me glimpses of my future in You, whether I have the resources to do it or not. Help me to walk according to Your pace in my life as I submit to Your leadership. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
