Always Put Your Trust in the Lord

[1] “In you, LORD my God, I put my trust. [2] I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me.” – Psalms 25:1-2 (NIV)

While growing up as a teenager, my mother used to tell me not to depend too much on people because of the series of disappointments she had experienced in life. Well, I was a teenager, so I didn’t pay much attention to it. But as I grew older and saw nasty things people I thought they loved and cared about me did, I started appreciating that advice from my mum quite better. If even Jesus didn’t entrust Himself to any man (see John 2:25), how much more you?

I believe trust is something you shouldn’t give away to people that cheaply. They have to earn it. In our ministry, we assign duties to our team and leave them to fulfil them with minimal human supervision since our systems are developed in such a way that the failure of a person to do one’s work will be directly exposed to everyone in the team. As they work, they earn the trust, and the more their trust ladder goes up, the more we entrust them with more things to be faithful with. God wants you to be a faithful servant of Him. At the same time, He wants you to always put your trust in Him for everything in life.

If you don’t want to end up disgraced in life, don’t put your trust in people or even technology. People will fail you. Even more, since machines are designed by people, all of them aren’t a hundred percent effective. Always put your trust in God, for He is the perfect One to hold every area of your life in the right shape.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, help me to always put my trust in You. May I receive encouragement from You to live with utmost divine strength as I fulfil Your divine mandate for my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
