[15] “To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled.” – Titus 1:15 (NKJV)
Have you ever been so soaked up living in the presence of God that you don’t have any interest in the things of the world? If yes, you may have understood how great it is to live in purity. It is so glorious that no evil thought will get space in your mind, even for a second. To such people, the beginning part of Titus 1:15 holds – all things are pure to the pure. But for those who are not saved, because the Word of God does not govern their lives, their minds are defiled. Therefore, nothing is pure to them.
Have you ever wondered why evil things continue to thrive in this generation? It’s because the devil, the chief enemy, never gets tired of giving those ideas to such people. If you don’t stand firm in the principles of God’s Word, the world will offer you distracting content, ideas and offers to sway you from living in purity. But every day, you have the choice to choose Jesus every day. The Psalmist prayed a prayer in Psalm 139:23-24, which I use very often. And I recommend it to you. He said,
[23] “Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties; [24] And see if there is any wicked way in me, And lead me in the way everlasting.”
Tell God to search your heart. Let Him cleanse and deliver you from any filthy mindset you are holding on to, which is destroying you in the name of Jesus.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your continuous process of cleansing my mind of all filthiness. Deliver me from any mindset that isn’t in sync with the truth from Your Word. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
