Accept One Another as Christ Accepted You

[7] “Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.” – Romans 15:7 NIV

Humans are different. Everyone has a unique fingerprint since creation time. That tells us how special God has made every single person on this Earth. And sometimes, although we know these things, we tend to treat other people as if they are like us, which causes problems. Sometimes, in marriage, when the wife doesn’t understand that the husband is a male and not a female, issues arise because she can treat him as if he’s a female, which isn’t the case. That can be the same on the husband’s end too.

Knowing how rampant these problems are in this generation, Paul, inspired by the Holy Spirit, wrote in Romans 15:7 that we should accept one another as Christ accepted each of us. Think about this! You may not have made it if Jesus wanted to reward His salvation based on some checklists.

Jesus doesn’t do what recruiters do today, sorting out people’s résumés and disqualifying people. His salvation is for everybody, and so must you have compassion for souls regardless of people’s background. Many differences among ourselves are to help complement one another, not to stir up conflicts. Navigate your relationships with others well.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for accepting me into Your kingdom. Help me accept people and share the gospel with them without being biased. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
