A Kingdom Divided Against Itself Cannot Stand

[24] “If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. [25] And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.” – Mark 3:24-25 (NKJV)

Jesus had many accusers when He was on Earth doing ministry. One time, the scribes came to Him and said all the power Jesus uses to cast out demons was from Beelzebub, which was a name used to describe satan. Well, Jesus knew they were wrong. But He answered them by saying that a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. So, if what the scribes were saying is true, how can satan drive out satan? See that? In the realm of the spirit, God doesn’t contradict Himself. Satan can contradict himself, but he uses lies and deceptive means not to do so because he is on a mission to devour as many people as possible to join him in hell.

That principle of unity in homes and kingdoms (say, organisations) is fundamental in multiplying the impact on a generation with their vision. For example, if ministries collaborate with other ministries to do God’s work, the impact of all the ministries that came together for this work will be more potent than what only one can do. In homes, a couple with a strong marriage will have a more blessed home than the one that is divided. Yes, it is a law.

Don’t be deceived. The devil knows how powerful unity is against blocking his evil schemes in homes, churches, businesses and organisations. If you are a husband or a wife reading this, don’t allow any iota of infidelity to creep into your mind, much more for it to have fruition in your life. You might think it is for pleasure, but I tell you that disaster is at the end of it. I’ve seen people lose precious marriages because of infidelity. And if you are a pastor, remember to treat people well and unite your team even if things aren’t going well with you. You’ll have a more flourishing ministry if your team is united rather than divided.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, help me to keep the unity of the Spirit among every ministerial team I am a part of. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
