If you are a minister reading this, analyse what you have done in ministry so far. What are some of the things you have added to your organisation or work schedule that Jesus did not tell you to do? It is not everything nice and glamorous you see about ministry that you should be motivated to do.
God doesn’t want you to live a selfish life. In fact, the Bible says that love isn’t self-seeking (see 1 Corinthians 13:5). He wants you to command enormous impact with whatever you are doing as long as it has no trace of evil in it. But that will require you to step out of the me-thinking mentality to the others-thinking mentality.
Can God trust you with millions, and you’ll handle it well? According to Luke 16:11, the true riches in God’s kingdom are entrusted, not worked for. Check your heart, dear treasurer, because if you don’t do it, you will indirectly allow the devil to lure you into stealing and think nothing bad will happen to you. May God protect you from greed.
After Lazarus had come out, Jesus told the people present to remove the ties (grave clothes) that bound him so he could get loose and walk comfortably. Here’s a profound truth. You can experience your miracle while still possessing some things you don’t need, and that is not a problem. But a new miracle comes with a new mindset to embrace and sustain it.
You are more powerful as a believer than you think. The Spirit of God in you is not a mere Spirit with a characteristic of fear and timidity. No! He is a Spirit of fire, and He gives order to things. You have to step up and take charge of that situation.
Martha wanted her brother to come back alive, but she resisted it when Jesus ordered people to remove the stone covering the tomb. That is what happens when you want something from God but haven’t positioned yourself to get that thing. Don’t do that!
Today, if you are born again, the Holy Spirit lives in you. That said, you have also been given the power by the same Spirit in you to testify about Jesus to others through the preaching of the gospel.
Dear friend, have you owed people for a long time? Are you happy about it? No. Right? Why don’t you determine in your heart to settle every debt you owe, even those from several years ago? Debt is not good as long as you abandon its repayment. It’ll paint a bad reputation for yourself to others, and you’ll lose connections to precious and influential people because of that behaviour.
Child of God, there is a promise from God in Psalm 37:29 that the righteous shall inherit the land and dwell in it forever. It doesn’t say the righteous “may” inherit the land but “shall.” That means it is definitely going to happen. But there is a responsibility on your end as a believer. God is a Spirit, so whatever He sets His heart to do on this Earth will require men to bring it to physical manifestation. Take your place, and don’t settle for less.
God will never forsake His faithful ones. He knows that the righteous sometimes face unfair challenges in life, making their lives tougher than normal. And if you are a believer, yet things are not turning out so good for you, let me encourage you today. You have a God who has vowed never to leave you nor forsake you.
Can I tell you something? God will always provide for the righteous. And that provision is going to be large enough that the descendants will benefit from it.
If life is long, then you need a helper because not all days will be filled with happiness. There are some days earmarked as evil. In those days, your strength will be tested (see Proverbs 24:10). Jesus is willing to help you in ways unimaginable. But He is gentle. He wants you to take His yoke upon you and learn from Him.
