[2] “Let the name of the LORD be praised, both now and forevermore.” – Psalms 113:2 (NIV)
Praise and adoration (worship) form part of many churches’ service structures. There, you will see people dance in unimaginable ways in church. But how many of those people actually praise God in their aloneness? Thankfully, so many Christian praiseful songs on music streaming platforms help believers connect with God, even during busy work hours.
But in David’s time, those things were not there. All that they had was a choir and some instruments. Yet, the man of God wrote many Psalms we still use today. What are you doing to leave a legacy in Christ? Many people have reduced Christianity to a materialistic religion, constantly praying to God to demand things to satisfy their selfish desires. However, one of the most essential spiritual exercises in Christ is always to have a praise-filled life.
David said in Psalm 113:2, “Let the name of the LORD be praised, both now and forevermore.” He was called a man after God’s heart, not because he wanted something from God, but because he adored God all his life. Yes, it’s difficult to live like David in this modern generation full of distractions. But maintaining our focus on God is key. Let the name of the Lord be praised in your life every day.
You are a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your grace in my life. Help me to live a praise-filled life that honours You every day. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
