Share with the Lord’s People Who Are in Need

[13] “Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.” – Romans 12:13 (NIV)

One of the greatest privileges every believer can ever have is to become rich, not to amass wealth but to share it with the Lord’s people who are in need. Did you know that as long as this Earth remains, people’s financial strength, even in the church, will never be the same? Jesus said in John 12:8 that the poor will always be around, even in the body of Christ. That is both good and bad news. Why?

It’s bad news because some people will never be wealthy, although God doesn’t want that to be the case for any of His children. On the other hand, what Jesus said is good because there will be unlimited opportunities to help those in need. Dear one, no matter your living conditions in this life, don’t settle for less. It is not good to remain poor and think it is God’s will for you. No! You must be intentional about making it in life by following God’s plan for your life in purity.

The goal is not to show others that “Yeah, you are rich.” Instead, the goal is to see every child of God soar higher in the fulfilment of divine purpose so that Christ will fill the whole universe. That cannot be done entirely if some believers are lagging behind. You may not always provide financial assistance to those in need, but at least give them words of comfort when they need it. It is well with you.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for all You do for me. Help me to be constantly progressive in my life in the name of Jesus as I live to fulfil what You have called me to do. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
