“how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” — Acts 10:38 KJV
One thing about God is that He expects His people to spend the gifts He gives unto them. When He anointed Jesus with the Holy Ghost and with power, Jesus didn’t hide from the people He got sent unto. He spent what He had in the power of the Spirit. And because of that, He experienced lots of people getting healed from all forms of oppression, be it sickness or doctrines.
Yes, we believers are created in Christ to walk in good works (Ephesians 2:10). But how much exploits each one will do unto God’s kingdom is heavily dependent on how we spend what we receive from the Lord no matter wherever we find ourselves.
It’s written in Proverbs 11:24 (NIV) that
One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.
That means extraordinary exploits in Christ are for those who use the anointing and gifts for expanding God’s kingdom. And as this continues, God brings the increase.
In the kingdom of God, givers never lack. When you use the gifts, money, talents, and the likes for God’s work, you’ll never run short because God will keep supplying more unto you since He knows they’ll not be idols in your life.
If you want to see multiplication in your kingdom exploits, you’ve got to spend like Jesus. The anointing of the Spirit in you is meant to put demands on your potential to work as unto the Lord.
Discover God’s purpose for your life. Move from your comfort zone to pursue that purpose by serving God wherever you are. In God’s kingdom, we don’t wish for success. Instead, we put the anointing in us to use in order to work for it.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, create avenues in my life to spend like Jesus. Help me grab opportunities that’ll press on to the release of your divine gift for the benefit of others. Amen!
