[10] “For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.” – Romans 5:10 (NKJV)
How does it feel to be an enemy of someone you heavily depend on for daily survival? It’s life-threatening. Right? If, even as humans, we try to avoid being in the “hate” books of prominent people we depend on, how much more God? The Bible says there was a time when we were God’s enemies because of sin. But God, knowing how helpless we are without Him, chose to send Jesus to come and die for us so we can get reconciled back to Him. Today, if you are reading this, I want you to know that you are not God’s enemy. You are His beloved.
What have you done that is making you think God is angry at you? Don’t condemn yourself for such acts. He is ever ready to embrace you just as you are, regardless of your bad history. Do you fear to approach your friend to do something for you? Of course not. Remember that beyond God being your eternal Father, He is also your friend. You can come closer to Him today just like any other day.
Don’t sit down for the enemy to play with your mind and tell you God has abandoned you. It’s a lie, and you must cast down such imaginations with the spiritual authority God has given you. You carry God’s life in you and must live it out with intentionality.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your friendship in my life. May I never doubt who You have made me, even for a second. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
