“[17] Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” — Romans 8:17 NIV
Who is a co-heir? It’s someone who has direct access to all the possessions of his kin as much as his fellow heirs. Let me explain it using a joint bank account for a couple. The husband has direct access to all the money in that account as much as the wife. The money belongs to both, and there are no ownership percentages for each person.
Therefore, if the Word says we are co-heirs with Christ, it means all that belongs to Christ also belongs to us – the children of God. In other words, we are fully entitled to all of God’s riches. Hallelujah!
Friend, what makes you think God cannot give you what you ask Him for? If He didn’t spare His own Son but gave Him up to serve as a ransom for all of mankind’s sins, how shall He not freely give you all things (Romans 8:32)?
What you think of getting from God is too small for Him to disappoint you. Just ask with a selfless heart. He’ll fulfil your needs on purpose. Because at the end of it all, everything has to glorify Him.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, I bless You for making me a co-heir with Christ. By faith in this Word, I claim all the entitlement I need to fulfil every divine mandate assigned to me. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
