We Are All One in Christ

[4] “In those days and in that time,” says the LORD, “The children of Israel shall come, They and the children of Judah together; With continual weeping they shall come, And seek the LORD their God.” – Jeremiah 50:4 (NKJV)

Before Jesus came to the Earth and the Church was established in Acts, the prophet Jeremiah prophesied how God’s children would come together to seek the Lord. During Jeremiah’s regime, Israel and Judah were exiled to Babylon. Besides, the Kingdom of Israel was divided, with Judah separate from the other tribes. But later, that division was brought together. Today, when you mention Israel, you don’t see any separation between Judah and the different tribes. Right? It was because of that prophecy. But there is more.

“In that time”, as used in Jeremiah 50:4, refers to the day of Christ, which we are living in right now. So, from the scripture, we are in a dispensation where believers in Christ have no distinguishable separations before the Lord. We may have differences in locations, ideologies and doctrines. But the primary thing is that we are all one in Christ. Paul later came to confirm this in Galatians 3:28 (NKJV), where he wrote,

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.”

We are all one people in Christ. So, don’t let minor differences you have with other believers prevent you from fellowshipping with them.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for burning the bridges of spiritual separation between believers all around the world. Help me to fellowship with other believers well. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
