“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5-6 NIV
A way is generally larger than a path. Every person has a way of life, that is, how one lives. When this way gets broken down in a person’s life, we have paths. That is, how things get done in various aspects of life.
For example, many students learn. But each one has a specific strategy (path) of learning that makes the brain retain information faster. Some students know theirs, others don’t. But in all cases, this truth still persists. From this scenario, learning can be classified as a way, while the strategy of learning describes a path.
Proverbs 3:5 teaches that “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” Then verse 6 continues, “in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”
See, even though your ways in God may seem broad, He has a specific path He can lead you through to always chop success in everything you do. Stress, tiredness, suffering, and the likes aren’t always allowed by God for our training. Sometimes, they come because we do things in a way that seems best to us, neglecting God’s ideal paths to do them.
You don’t have to do everything the way numerous people do it. Be at the right place at the right time. Submit your ways to God. Trust His leading even if you have a lesser spiritual understanding of it. Follow Him, and you’ll never be a failure.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer
Oh Jesus, today, I choose to submit all my ways to you. Give me ideas to do things in paths according to your wisdom, that I’ll always be counted amongst the successful people every time at every place I go.
