“For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” — Mark 11:23 NKJV
Everyone wants to live a better life than the one he is already living, and that’s not a problem. But sometimes, we limit these things to material possessions alone, neglecting important but hardly noticed aspects of our lives like settling family controversies and spiritual inconsistencies.
Jesus gives a simple answer to how we can optimise our lives to synchronise to the patterns and systems of God in Mark 11:23. He used the words “this mountain” to signify any life issue, from the physical to the spiritual, and continues to tell us that if we can speak to any mountain before us without doubt, we will have what we say.
You shall have what you say in prayer. But before that, you have to speak what you want to see. Is there anything in your life you don’t like? God has revealed that nuisance to you so that through you, He’ll bring redemption to it.
Don’t watch things get spoilt in your life without doing anything about it. You may not have all the money and power to settle controversies physically. But you can pray. And even before that, remember that you don’t pay anyone to speak. So it’s free to pray, but it requires the investment of time.
Things physically seen aren’t made from things that appear. Every physical issue has a spiritual root. Deal with it in the spirit realm first, get the divine wisdom, and counter it physically as the Lord leads and guides you.
You’re a blessing.
Prayer
Oh God, I receive the grace and consciousness to speak what I want to see in my life that’ll bring glory and honour to You. Let not I be faint-hearted, nor weary of prayer, which is Your gift to settle controversies. Amen!
