Be Prompt in Obeying God’s Instructions

[24] “Then Joseph, being aroused from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord commanded him and took to him his wife,” – Matthew 1:24 (NKJV)

When Joseph woke up from sleep, having dreamt that he should take Mary home as his wife, he didn’t wait for six months before doing that. The Bible says he did as the angel of the Lord commanded. Are you prompt in obeying God’s instructions? Maybe yes, maybe not. But if it is a no, you have to develop that character because it is entirely for your good.

As humans, God knows how much we like to plan things ahead of time. He is well aware of our organisational capacities. So, He even inspired Paul to write in 1 Corinthians 14:40 that things should be done orderly in the church. Think about that. Yet still, He is the same God who can cause interruptions in people’s orderly lifestyles just to create scenes and miracles for people to acknowledge that what happened is only the Lord’s doing.

Let me tell you something. You are not late in life. You don’t need to look down on yourself because of the things that have happened to you several times. But you need to be prompt in obeying God’s instructions the moment you hear from Him. That is what brings the change and supernatural turnarounds. Live depending on Him. For He will never fail you.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, help me to love You deeply and be prompt in obeying Your instructions. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
