[14] “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” – Romans 8:14 (NKJV)
One of the most fulfilling things in life is to work within an organisation with outstanding leadership. It fosters employer-employee relationships and increases productivity as people know why they are working and the course they serve. So, undoubtedly, many want great leaders in their lives, and some also want to be great leaders. And that desire is inherent in people because God placed it in them. But God is wise; He didn’t put this desire in there for you to not only use it in relating to the world but also to Him.
The Bible says that those who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. The word “sons” in the Bible verse (Romans 8:14) refers to spiritually mature people, not new converts, in Christ. Meaning, maturity is necessary for discerning and following spiritual direction from God. Many people who struggle in life, even as believers, have difficulty discerning God’s direction for their lives. They try this, but it doesn’t work. Then, they try that. You see!
Life is spiritual. You cannot live it from the natural perspective and think you will be right with God. No! It is God who knows all things, and He is the perfect leader in your life to whom you must pay attention. Your boss has limitations, as does your pastor and even your mind. Spend adequate time with the Lord to hear from Him and follow His direction.
You are a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, help me to mature in knowing You. Sharpen my spiritual senses, oh Lord, so I can hear You clearly in anything I ask You. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
