[15] “Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.” – Colossians 3:15 NIV
One of the most precious things a human can ever enjoy is peace, especially for men. Where there is no peace, things get hazy, out of order, and eventually haphazard. So because of this, many nations frown upon any kind of war, whether civil, ethnic or between countries. But also, in many nations where peace prevails, there are people in those countries who still lack peace. You may ask, what kind of peace am I talking about? It’s the inward peace.
For that peace, it’s of the heart. And truth be told, only God can supply that peace. Paul knew this. As a personal benefactor of this peace, even in the midst of challenges, he encouraged his fellow believers in Colossae that they should let the peace of Christ rule in their hearts. Today, that Word is also for you, dear one.
If you think the problems in your life will ever cease before you enjoy peace, you’re on an infinite wait period. Don’t do that! Enjoy God’s peace today, always being conscious of the truth that today is the day the Lord has made.
You are a blessing.
Prayer:
Father, help me to enjoy Your peace today and be ever grateful for everything You keep doing for me daily. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
