It Will Take Some Time to Reap Your Seed of Good Works

[9] “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” – Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)

Gone were the days when a person wanted to send a letter to someone, he would have to use the post office, for which the letter would take several days to reach the receiver. Today, there are instant messaging apps across the world. You can send a message to anybody worldwide, and it will be delivered immediately, all because of internet availability. But guess what? That has produced a generation who lack patience in several areas of their lives. Hmm!!!

The Bible says in Galatians 6:9 that, as a believer, you should not grow weary while doing good. Why? Because there is a due season to reap that harvest. So, it will take some time to reap your seed of good works in several lives. And guess what? The timeline for such harvest is not stated in scripture. So you can’t schedule it. You only have to continue doing good works to others.

So, dear one, instead of anticipating your harvest of good works, focus on continuing to sow the seed of good works in life. It is great to reap a harvest at a time you don’t expect rather than expecting a harvest at a time you don’t get. Let not the ungratefulness of others affect you.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, help me to keep my spiritual fervour alive as I seek to do Your will. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
