[26] “Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” — Matthew 6:26 NKJV
Have you ever thought of how birds get fed every single day? They fly from place to place, and each time, God makes sure that they never lack food wherever they go. Now, if birds, whom God created not in His image and likeness, get fed by Him every day, how much more you? God will take care of you in ways unimaginable. But the average African believer in Christ inherited Christianity with a poverty mentality. That’s why many struggle to make ends meet.
I want to repeat the last line of what Jesus said in Matthew 6:26 to you again: “Are you not of more value than they (the birds)?” You are more valuable before the sight of God than any other creature on this Earth. So, it is erroneous to wake up worrying about what to eat, drink and wear. Anytime that happens, it means your mind has shifted from trusting in His provision to believing in your ability, which is bad.
You cannot live the kingdom lifestyle (live like Jesus) by employing earthly strategies. No! Go and pray. Get yourself soaked in the immense love of God. And I tell you that all the worries of this life will fade away like mist. He shall lavish you with His glorious provision.

Father, make my consciousness be on Your kingdom so much that I will care less about what to do to survive. For I trust in Your provision. Thank you, Jesus. Amen!
