When the wicked are cut off, you shall see it.” – Psalms 37:34 (NKJV)
One of the pressures many people face in life is to succeed early. It starts with looking for a job after school. When one finally gets it, the expenses in life start increasing, triggering a sense of dissatisfaction in getting more material possessions. Oh, mercy! Because of this, a lot of people are impatient to wait for God’s exaltation time in their lives, often subscribing to shortcuts and other unhealthy ways of earning money. It has been proven with time that it has no successful end for those who take that path.
The devil never gives free gifts. He can make people rich, but that money is stolen (because he’s a thief and never manufactures things), and in the end, he demands the lives of such people. It’s interesting to know that this evil didn’t start today. It has always been in the world, even before Jesus came.
In Psalm 37:34, inspired by the Spirit, David said it is essential to wait on the Lord and keep His way. Why? Because there is a time He will exalt you to inherit the land (place of experiencing abundance and influence). And when the wicked are cut off, you shall see it. That means some wicked people may succeed before the righteous ones. But as a child of God, if you are patient before God and follow His ways, your blessing will not be cut short.
God will exalt you to inherit the land. By using the word “inherit,” it means that God’s way of uplifting you will not come by your own efforts and hard work. No! It will come by His doing. Maybe you are frustrated with God for having served many years without any justifiable blessing in your life. But don’t give up. Your upliftment is on the way.

Father, thank You for everything You do and keep doing for me. Help me to be patient before You and wait for Your appointed time to uplift me. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
