Each Day Has Enough Trouble of Its Own

[34] “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” – Matthew 6:34 (NIV)

One African adage says the sun doesn’t rise without you hearing that something has happened somewhere. Today, because of the internet, it is easy to know what happened in almost every part of the world within split seconds. Furthermore, a lot is happening in people’s personal lives that aren’t shared on the internet. So it is pretty clear that each day has enough trouble of its own, just as Jesus said in Matthew 6:34.

There is no point worrying about tomorrow. Jesus said tomorrow will worry about itself. But what is the “tomorrow” Jesus was talking about in the verse? Because tomorrow is not only about the day after today but also your future. As humans, many of us don’t subscribe to spontaneity. Many work according to schedules. And because of that, when things aren’t certain about the future, worry and anxiety spark in.

Dear child of God, let it be in your consciousness that you have God, who knows the end from the beginning. He is the Alpha and Omega. He has everything about your life well figured out, even though He hasn’t revealed everything about it to you yet. He wants you to believe that He will perfect everything concerning your life. Only walk faithfully in His ways.

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

In the name of Jesus, I denounce every iota of anxiety and worry in my mind as I live to fulfil God’s will every day. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
