Dare to Proclaim the Gospel Without Fear

[14] “And because of my chains, most of the brothers and sisters have become confident in the Lord and dare all the more to proclaim the gospel without fear.” – Philippians 1:14 (NIV)

As said in yesterday’s devotional, Paul was in prison while writing the epistle to the Philippians. And even though his predicament was not good, he felt more encouraged to proclaim the gospel through epistle writing, which, in turn, encouraged lots more people to preach.

There is something I learnt about exposure in leadership. Until you see someone you admire go through discouraging things in life and yet carry on in faith, you won’t understand how powerful commitment is. Paul kept preaching the gospel, even in prison. When other believers saw it, they became more confident about doing the work of the ministry. Sometimes, you need to see a mentor carrying on his divine mandate in life despite worsened living conditions before you realise that obscurity isn’t enough to make you give up.

Dare to proclaim the gospel of Christ without fear. Do not fear what other people say about you because of your doctrine. If what you are preaching is the truth, carry on, minister. God sees your labour. Don’t give up!

You are a blessing.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for all that You do for me. Encourage me to keep preaching the gospel no matter what I go through. In Jesus’ name. Amen!
