Christ Lives In You

“I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”— Galatians 2:20 NKJV

In Galatians 2:20, Paul made some stunning personal declarations that have been used as a doctrine in many churches today. Amongst all the things he said, this one was profound, “Christ lives in me.”

But as personal as these revelations were to him, have we asked ourselves whether it’s true for our lives? Yes, you were crucified with Christ (Romans 6:3-4). But has your mind been set on the truth that you’re dead in Christ, and the you that now lives is Christ at work in you?

Philippians 2:13 (NKJV) says,

“for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.”

You’re no longer living. Christ lives in you to do His good pleasure. And your conscious submission unto Him makes you have a meaningful life. It’s in Him you live, move and have your being (Acts 17:28). That means living a meaningful life depends on your relationship with Jesus.

Just in case you have struggles in any area of your life, you don’t need to use human efforts and strategies to deal with them. No! Submit yourself to God. His transformative work in your heart and mind will clear all those things out of your life.

Believe that the God who has started a great work in you will keep building upon it until the second coming of Christ (Philippians 1:6).

You’re a blessing.

Prayer

Father, thank You for crucifying me with Christ. I affirm the truth that I am dead, and Christ lives in me. I submit every area of my life unto Your Lordship and leadership. In the name of Jesus. Amen!
