Behold All Things Have Become New

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” — II Corinthians 5:17 NKJV

2 Corinthians 5:17 is a prominent scripture used in the Body of Christ to teach about salvation. But there’s one word I’ve noticed many ministers don’t emphasize when this verse always gets quoted. That word is “BEHOLD.” In other words, “SEE.”

The Bible doesn’t just affirm to us as Christians that all things had become new when we came into Christ. It says, “Behold all things have become new.” Now that implies if a Christian can’t perceive his new nature in Christ, he would remain born again, yet cannot discern new creation realities. And sadly, many people are living like this.

Fellow Christian, God precisely knows what He means when He said in the Bible, “all things have become new” to anybody who comes to Christ. However, the question is, “Are you as a Christian beholding your new life?” “Can you discern your new nature in Christ? That nature where sickness is a foreign material to your body because you walk in health. That nature, where eternal life flows in, through, and out of your being because you’ve connected to Christ. That nature, where you draw strength from the Spirit by waiting on God through prayer and fellowship. Can you see it? Because if you do, your life will undergo a faster spiritual transformation.

See the eternal life you have now differently. Don’t look unto the children of God by their human appearances. For who God has made them can’t be fathomed by anything natural because they are spirit beings.

You’re a blessing.
