Witness Jesus Well Wherever You Are

It is not always easy. But with God on your side, it is well with you. Witness Jesus well wherever you are, no matter the situation. If he was with Paul and had helped his work remain relevant in this generation, then indeed, He has not neglected your secret labours. He will reward you well.

Comport Yourself in Honour of God

Just because you are born again doesn’t mean your life is going to be all flashy. Sometimes, bad things might happen that can pose severe threats to your faith, but that doesn’t mean God has left you. Learn how to comport yourself in honour of God, no matter what happens

Do Not Exasperate Your Child, Dear Father

Dear father, do not exasperate your child. In other words, do not intensely frustrate your child. If you keep doing something the child doesn’t like that is meant to fulfil your selfish need instead of the good of all parties involved, stop it. You represent Christ in the home. Be careful to do that work diligently.

Love Your Wife as Your Own Body, Dear Husband

If you don’t hate your body but love and cherish it, why don’t you love your wife so well that you’ll give her everything she needs, including your body and affection? God knew a time would come when believing husbands may falter in these things. That is why He institutionalised this command in the scriptures.

Although not musical, Paul never forgot to tell us that we should speak to one another with psalms, hymns and songs from the Spirit. In those days, there was no Spotify, Apple Music, or music streaming platform to get songs. There weren’t even phones or advanced instruments like we have today. All that they had was their voices and a few instruments. But they managed to treasure the songs of the Spirit in their hearts. Today, you have a better life.

Do Not Get Drunk on Wine

For the scripture to say, “Do not get drunk on wine,” then it means don’t take alcohol or any wine or drink with even the slightest alcoholic content in it. If you do, it’ll lead you to debauchery (meaning immorality), which is improper to be said about you.

Wake Up, Oh Sleeper

Unbelievers’ spirits are insensitive to God’s promptings. Such people are asleep and are in the power of darkness (see Colossians 1:13) because their lives are under the control of the evil one. Unto such people, the scripture tells them to wake up and rise from the dead (spiritual inactivity before God), and then Christ will shine on them.

Be Strong in the Mighty Power of God

God is good and wants the best for each of His children. But He knows we live in an evil age where many people have identity crises. That is why He wants us to be strong. You must insist on who you are everywhere you go, lest others deceive you with empty words and try changing your godly convictions.

Let Nobody Deceive You with Empty Words

We live in a world that is constantly evolving new things. That means ideas are at the forefront of many people’s minds. And that’s not a problem. But some people are vain talkers. These are those who deceive others with empty words as promises but do nothing in the end. Beware of those people. Not everything that glitters is gold.
