Do you know that pastors and ministry workers are among the categories of people who face numerous life challenges? A pastor’s burden extends beyond himself and his family to include the ministry he’s in charge of, as well as other members within the ministry who are facing numerous challenges. A pastor can stand on the pulpit to encourage the whole congregation, but people rarely think about what he’s going through. If you are a pastor reading today and probably have some issues you are dealing with right now, I want you to keep believing in God as you fulfil your divine mandate.
To be more confident and doubtless in fulfilling your divine mandate, you need always to remember what God told you when you were beginning. When you feel like giving up, remember God’s promises.
Dealing with loneliness and self-doubt in ministry
Having served in the ministry for almost a decade, I have learnt a lot on the journey. In many cases, when the ministry is growing, some people will talk badly about what you are doing. This is often seen in the lives of ministerial and organisational pioneers. Sometimes, you may even doubt yourself and ask, “Is it God that really called me?” These things are real, and people face them every day. So if you are going through that, know that you are not alone.
To be more confident and doubtless in fulfilling your divine mandate, you need always to remember what God told you when you were beginning. When you feel like giving up, remember God’s promises. Have God ever forsaken you? Of course not! He is always with you, although you may not always be aware of His presence in your life.
Be determined to finish strong.
The race of faith is a marathon, not a sprint. In other words, you are on a very long journey to purpose fulfilment. For that sake, you need to be constantly aware that patience will do you so much good when approaching things. When you refuse to wait on God and rush into doing things He hasn’t told you to do, then you’ll start encountering problems. Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of His might. He will be with you always.
You are a blessing
